According to Wikipedia “Online tutoring refers to the process by which knowledge is imparted from a tutor, knowledge provider or expert to a student or knowledge recipient over the Internet.” You would now be thinking that any idiot can guess that from the phrase itself, that it is a method of tutoring which uses Internet as a mean for imparting education. But you are more interested in knowing how this tutoring is imparted and the technology behind this.
First of all you will need to register with an online tutoring service provider. Most of the online tutoring providers charge on hourly basis and the charge per hour usually vary depending upon the subject and the tutor you choose. Some of the good tutoring services offer free trial sessions, so you can evaluate the standard before actually opting for a tutoring session.
Once you have signed up for the tutoring services you will need to choose the subject for which you want tutoring. After choosing the subject, you will be asked to select a tutor from the list of available tutors for that subject. To help you in choosing the right tutor, good tutoring services generally provide complete information about the educational background and work experience of all the tutors. Some of the very good providers also provide reviews of the tutors from students and parents. After going through the profile and reviews you can choose a tutor of your liking. Generally all tutors charge a different rate and the rate is listed with the tutor’s listing. After selecting a tutor you will then need to fix an appointment with the tutor you have selected.
During an online tutoring session, the tutor will sit on his computer far away from you while you are at your home. Good tutoring service providers use advanced technology which lets tutors present material on their computer to students allowing students and tutors to work on the material on a “whiteboard” at the same time. The whiteboard is nothing but an online version of physical classroom blackboard and allows the tutor to write on the board in real-time.
Words can be written or illustrations can be drawn with the help of mouse or keyboard on a whiteboard. Some of the online tutoring service providers also offer voice over IP. This means both the student and tutor can speak through the computer as long as both have a microphone and speakers. Online tutoring sessions will occur in “real time”, meaning questions of the students are answered immediately, that means you have complete control over the tutoring session whether it is the subject matter or the pace of tutoring.
EduwizardS are the leading providers of online tutoring and offer quality tutoring in a wide range of subjects from school, college to specialized competitive examinations. No matter whether you need a geometry tutor, a computer tutor or a science tutor, you can choose from a long list of highly experienced tutors for all subjects.

Tiara this is so sad. Everyone is giving you goofy advertisements that have nothing to do what you are asking about.
I recommend that you try online tutoring. If you are serious about it and good at it, you can make money. Getting paid will be the difficult part at first, but if you get that solved and get some good steady customers, it will come together for you.
Try to have some texts or some agreed upon goals with your students. It is hard to for me to say what you might earn, but I really do not think that ten dollars an hour would be too much to ask for teaching an important subject and doing a good job at it.
Good luck.

This one is a site that offers you jobs that you want to do. Sign up if free, but you have to have a paypal account for them to pay you. What happen's is you pick the sort of jobs you like (such as data entry or graphics design) and bid on them. People are paying for that kind of stuff, but on a budget. The thing is, you have to have the lowest bid to be considered. If you're up to it go to: http://www.getafreelancer.com/affiliates/farconville/

yes, because nowadays children like to go to Internet.
I am not sure how much it is, but I do know that it is a lot more expensive than Kumon. Plus, it is an entirely different program. Sylvan is a learning center with a lot of subjects. Kumon only offers two subjects (math and reading) and you do worksheets everyday.
If you would like to know more about Kumon, please feel free to email me.
