What should I pay a math tutor here on a college campus?Hi, I would like to ask an SI (Student Instructor) Math Tutor to give me private math tutoring lessons. He is also a student at my college, and a 19- going on 20- year old sophomore. (I am a freshman). He would be tutoring me in a Calculus level course. He did very well in his Calculus II class last year and has thus been certified to teach other students who need additional help in the Calculus course. His experience in College mathematics level tutoring, I believe, however is really only limited to one full year. I would like to pay him for private one-on-one tutoring sessions. What do you think would be a reasonable price to pay him for tutoring once a week, right here on campus?

Frank Ho, a Canadian certified math teacher, coined the learning centre term Math and Chess and he also founded the world’s first math and chess learning centre by creating the world’s first math and chess integrated workbooks for elementary students in Vancouver, Canada. He invented Frankho Symbolic Chess Language, intriguing Frankho Chess Maze, and also an unique new chess teaching set. He published math and chess teaching theoretic basis in a Canadian math journal. The USA Illinois research data has shown statistically significant that Ho Math and Chess teaching method increases children’s math marks and also improves children’s critical thinking skills. The Ho Math and Chess Teaching Set can improve children’s memory by playing half-blind chess. More details, please visit www.mathandchess.com.
This is a fucking joke..
There is nothing on Math software in this video with its misleading title.
it depends how prestigious the business degree is. if you're looking at Wharton or MIT Sloan, the two top business undergrad schools in the country, without national math awards you won't get in. other business degrees, too, require that you have a rudimentary knowledge of math. in fact, as many if not more math majors as business majors get recruited by major companies on wallstreet and other places. math, but probably not calculus and above level math, is important for a business field. but even if you're doing poorly in high school math, you still have a great chance–just pull up that average a little and show lots of passion if what you like to do, and you can still get into top business schools!
Get help. My daughter was a math tutor in high school and was never without students to help.
Most math classes at her high school had study groups. My daughter is an A student with AP calculus and always goes to study group. They also meet with the teacher on a regular bases.
Don't try to do it by yourself. If you can find even one person to study with it helps.
baby i can get our X’s together…just drop by my shack and we will start multiplying those Xs lmao :p
Don't be too hard on yourself. English has a lot of rules and others find it difficult to learn when compared to most languages.
There are brain exercises you can do to improve your English scores. It all depends on the area of your focus. In which part of English do you struggle to do well?
NICE,
This is easy I will pass the GED in no time
nice..
thanks for this video!
The general rule for me always was: Do questions, questions, questions, questions, questions. Do each and every problem in the book (not just the ones assigned as homework).
Once you've done them once, do them again.
Keep doing every question until you always get it right.
To remember the laws, half of it is understanding what the law means or implies, half of it is memorizing "this law means this".
If you do all of the questions and are using the laws, they are easier to remember.
Good luck!
WHY IS SCHOOL ON YOUTUBE? .
SOunds like you're taking the right courses. Hang in there with Physics.
Are you joking, jala? This is FAR from confusing! I bet even fifth graders can do this but they aren’t introduced to this formula at that time. If you tell a fifth grader what to do they can do it easily. No one uses a different method unless they are CRAZY = )
No matter what it takes to get into an undergraduate program, you're going to need a GOOD foundation in math, physics, biology, and chemistry to finish an undergraduate degree and go on to med school. Even if you do get into a program with minimal science background, you're going to have a really hard time in the university-level classes.
If you're really bent on a science degree, then boosting your familiarity with the material is a very good thing. If not, though, maybe you could go try some other types of classes and see if you like English, music, psychology, or some other non-hard-science discipline?
Man, this is a tutorial not a lap dance, lol.
First of all I'm assuming here you're in Canada based on your descriptions… I'm speaking on Ontario experience but I assume it's the same way in the other provinces!
Generally going into pharmacy needs a higher math mark because you'll want to get into a science/chem program that eventually allows you to specialize in pharmacy, which you'll definitely have to take math for. Most of those programs require you to have over 70-80% in math depending on the university. That said, since you do so well in science, they'll definitely take that into consideration if you're weaker in math, as long as you hit the minimum required math mark.
There's a lot of variety in the requirements for business programs, especially if you're not looking at accounting. Some require you to take math and have at least in the 70s, others recommend that you take math, and others don't require it at all. I'd look at your university options – talk to your guidance counselor or look online.
Remember that in both cases, a lot of programs have math as a requirement but don't specify the mark you have to get in it as long as your overall average is above a certain percentage.
Good luck!
There are so many websites which give information on different subjects in mathematics. They provide information by way of their articles made available by them online. You can have access to any article by searching on the internet. For example if you need to know about LCM or GCF, write the word in the address bar and press enter, you will find a list of websites explaining various aspects of the subjects. You can choose out of them the article suitable to you.
However, I am ready to help you through e-mail. If you want to obtain guidance in any topic of mathematics, send me e-mail and I shall help you to the best of my ability.
I may introduce myself to you. I am an Indian male and I want to spread knowledge I have to all the members of the world society and want to gain knowledge from others also.
The contact through e-mail of a girl with a mail is of-course not safe because their people misuse the e-relationship but you can safely contact me through e-mail if you want to.
Almost everything you do will require some sort of math skills. I have dyscalculia – a math dyslexia. Finding a career without some basic math skills is nearly impossible. I got my A.S. degree in Multimedia. I used to do web & graphic design which anyone can pretty much squeak by without using much math. I am an artist also. For the bills, I do a higher-end data entry type position for a medical group. No math required unless you're calculating baby delivery due date.
What is it you like to do? You can get around using math for alot of things nowadays since calculators are so easily accessable. I wouldn't focus on what you think you "can't do" and do something you want to do.
