Based on the links below, there are opportunities for people to do online language tutoring, but it doesn't appear that there is one for German at the moment. If you review the links, perhaps you can be a pioneer for German Language tutoring online. The third link below (fodors.com/language) does have a link to German, and that might give you some pointers as well. As for doing it without experience, you get what you pay for, so if someone is willing to pay you without you having experience, then go for it.
advertise in local education institutions, adult learning centres, even in a job agency where poeple are required to achieve skills in computing,
place an ad in the yellow pages or directory enquries in your area under distance learning courses or online learning,
spread your business by word of mouth / leaflets etc so others are aware and can recommend anyone they know
create a website on the internet as well
MCAT – it might be better to go with a company (like the bigger Review companies). I went with a bigger company for the LSAT and they helped.
If you want to try this person out, then definitely get name, number, etc. Then, ask for references — former students/parents. Be sure to ask the studnet/parents about the tutor's personality; work examples; whether or not they were on time; if they would use the tutor again.
Also, just because I am a bit of a nervous person — I'd check the internet to see if there's any information about this person floating around in cyberspace. I can't hurt!
