As a college tutor, I charge $10 to $12 an hour.
I think that as a 9th grader tutoring a 6th grader, that $7 is an appropriate rate.
When I have babysitters I generally pay them 12 dollars an hour, sometimes less or more, depending on how many of my kids are there and depending on how long it is. I have 5 kids and understand that it can be a hassle. 10 dollars/hour is what babysitters are usually paid.
If I had a child being tutored I would pay maybe 20 dollars per session.

i`m an english tutor with 4 years experience teaching english as a 2nd language in brazil…now i am back in the u.s. tutoring…i charge anywhere from $25-$40 per hour…your quote may be a little high, but u have to figure in your transportation to get to the girls` home…as the girls are in the same family (i think), i would take that into consideration…i usually give some kind of special rate for family members, especially if they study together…to be honest, i wouldn`t charge less than $60 a day, because that isn`t even $15/hour when u figure in your transportation…

I would say because you aren't in college yet, $20-$25 would be appropriate. But this really depends on where you live. Ask anyone you know that tutors and see how much people charge around there. Also, if should be quite a bit more than babysitting rates so take that into consideration.
