Mine is a good suggestion. If they are in detention, then they most likely have need for a tutor to improve their studies.
Contact your local high school and ask about the National Honor Socitey community service program. My 11 yr old uses one of our high school NHS tutors and it is free to us since the NHS has to have a certain number of C/S hours each year. You will probably have to ask the school which teacher is in charge of this program. If they do not have it at the school you choose, keep looking around the high school though. Lots of high school kids would ike to earn quick money.

Well you could place an ad at your local college or university (or even community college) for a tutor. If you are in high school, teachers are often willing to tutor- or already have tutoring sessions set up.
You could search your bookstore/library for books on using excel- as well as statistics in general.

Hiring a private tutor for one-on-one tutoring is the best way to go. However, if money is an issue, you can opt for online tutoring instead. Try some online tutoring services like:

3) … and many more (use search engine).

I would ask one of the professors if they had a student they would recommend. Most professors will be able to think of one that would be a good tutor, and then you just need to contact them and see if they will tutor you.
This is very useful to do, because they will often provide names for people who have taken the class already, so they should be better equiped to help you out.
