The best way to learn Spanish is to surround yourself with native Speakers. Unfortunately, a trip to Central America or Spain is going to cost you a large amount of money, plus the fact that you won’t be earning any while you are there is enough to give one a headache. But if you have a broadband connected computer, you can reach native speakers electronically in just a matter of minutes!
Through Spanish lessons online, more people can now take advantage of the convenience and lesser cost. There are now free audio downloads which people can listen to while they review a module set and there’s also the power of the internet based telephone which allows students to converse and view their Spanish speaking teachers.
There are online sites, which sell traditional tools for learning such as textbooks and CD ROMs, which are perfect for those who are in the intermediate level. These tools are used most often to polish intonation and diction. Now, there are also online communities where people of different native languages meet and teach each other. If you are a German who is looking for some Spanish tutoring, you can look for a Spanish-speaking member who wants to learn German. These sites also offer lessons for beginners and tutoring is free since members teach each other. On these sites, members usually chat online by typing or talking, and if a webcam is available, they can also have a video chat. People who want to have Spanish lessons can type or say a couple of sentences in Spanish and will then receive feedback on their grammar, intonation, diction, etc. They can also learn about idioms or seek advice on assignments assigned by teachers in their formal Spanish lessons. People who engage in these communities benefit by the fact that they get to practice speaking with native Spanish speakers, they can also gain new friends!
So many researchers are already testing the effectiveness of these online communities and a lot of them attest to the fact that this one of the best ways to learn Spanish. You don’t have to settle to listening to a canned program on a CD ROM, now you have thousands of people who are willing to give Spanish tutoring for free!
Of course, there are also sites which offers paid tutoring for a fixed amount of time. Usually, the site assigns a teacher for clients who register for Spanish online and lesson plans are developed based on the level and purpose for learning the language. For example, students who are studying Spanish for recreational travel to the Latin America have a different curriculum from students who are going on a business trip. Methods for teaching may also vary – some uses pod casts in addition to the usual conversation, listening and pronunciation exercises.
Perhaps the best reason why you should study Spanish is the fact that there are about 500 million Spanish speakers worldwide. Businesses are investing in people who can speak the top three most spoken languages (English, Mandarin Chinese, Spanish) because of their invaluable contribution to the overall income of the company.

Help answer the question about spanish tutor
How much to charge hourly as a Spanish tutor?I've been asked by a friend if I could tutor her little sister in Spanish. I'm a sophomore (in High School) and her sister is in the 8th grade. I'm in Honors Spanish and understand it pretty well-at least well enough to tutor at that level.
So how much should I charge? It's also my first time tutoring.

En Chile se dice “¿cómo estai?”, en vez de “¿cómo estás?” pero hay que aclarar que vosotros es plural de tú y que ustedes es plural de usted, otra cosa es que en la práctica se hayan dejado de usar estas formas en hispanoamérica, pero siguen estando vigentes y son correctas.
very good video. Gracias!
Yes, of course. I have another video explaining TO BE as SER. Check out my other videos to find it.
Rosetta Stone is very helpful with learning languages, but if you really want to earn spanish I really suggest learning from an actual person that speaks spanish, listen to songs, and read books.
I like the website http://www.learn-podcast-spanish.com/spanish-tutorial.html They have tons of phrases. They got them from compiling a list of the most common phrases that natives use. So you know what you're learning is what you'll hear a lot and be able to use.
Check it out.

Livemocha.com is a great resource, especially since it's free. But you won't become fluent using it. Your best bet is to combine it with some other learning tools. Get a few books, some language CD's, turn your TV and radio to a Spanish stations and find some Spanish speaking friends. Buena suerte!

Check the website livemocha. here is a brief description of the site:
Livemocha is a social network service where users can learn languages through audio-visual lessons, peer tutoring tools and support systems. Users can aid others in learning the languages that they are proficient in while learning other languages themselves. This is achieved through peer reviewing of submissions, live text and audio conversations, and other learning systems.
and the best is that it is for free
la forma de vos es usada también en centroamérica
I'm pretty fluent in Spanish and I can say 80% of it I learned with native Spanish speakers, from both Spain and South America in this site:
http://www.sharedtalk.com
You can also practice voice chat through microphone if you want. Most users are very friendly and willing to clear your doubts and correct your mistakes.
