When I go to “magic extractor” and click any tool and go to image, I have a small hand that won’t let me do anything to the image, no metter what tool I choose. Do I need to do something to the image b4 trying the extractor?
does elements 8 have the lasso or pen tool also?

That is AWESOME! Wish I had something like like when I needed something similar in 2007.
CS4 is the full blown Photoshop, while Elements is a subset of Photoshop features.
For many people Photoshop Elements is more than enough
